FLYING FISH SWIMMING
The Flying Fish Swim Club is a competitive swim team based in Miami Florida, which strives to have a team of the highest integrity; which promotes leadership and great sportsmanship. The club was created in 2001, by Head Coach Andrew Phillips, Olympian and former competitive swimmer for Jamaica.
Our members are taught to focus on setting goals, not only within the sport of competitive swimming but also in their day to day personal and professional lives, through discipline, desire and dedication.
Our clubs motto is Discipline Desire Dedication which we translate to mean, once you have the desire to achieve a goal, it takes discipline to stay focused and understand that it will take time and effort, in other words dedication in order to achieve the goal.
The Flying Fish Swim Club is more than just a swim team, we are an extended family and our members all represent the club with not only pride but passion.
Our club name is in honour of the late Neville Alexander who was inducted into the Swimming Hall of Fame in 1975; Mr Alexander was very instrumental throughout Andrew’s swimming career as his coach and mentor.
